Baby number one came and what a treasure she is! From the day she was born she was my all.
Me, I was a bit shocked by my new post pardum body but I was told it was totally natural and would all get 'back to normal' before long. ( lie lol )
Honestly, I was determined to get my "sexy back" and for the most part , I was able to pretty quick. I mean ..... FOR REAL I LOOKED LIKE BARBIE WITH A TINY WAIST AND HUGE BREAST ( I was nursing like crazy ).
Then , baby #2 came along. He is Mama's boy through and though and has my wrapped around his finger.
Once again I was determined to rock a mom bod like I had before. This time ....... it was a bit harder but honestly, the weight fell off with the breastfeeding so I pressed on with nursing until his 1st birthday.
Three years later , Baby #3 came along , and while he is my little miracle and I treasure him with my everything like the other two my mom bod just couldn't get its "sexy back" this time around. In fact , when I stopped nursing I put on 30lbs!!!!!
By baby #3 my body could not take anymore and physically, my saggy, stretched-out skin and “outie” belly button has become living proof that I bear the battle scars of child bearing.
The scars of motherhood had begun to wear on me, as hard I have tried to get my figure back, child labor and mothering has taken its toll.
What I have learned is that society may be pushing us to be ashamed of our fading and withered bodies but the a body ridden with the battle scars of motherhood is a beautiful body.
May your scars, whether they be from a c-section, from weight gain during pregnancy, from the wear and tear that naturally comes on a mother's body with age and the demands of mothering , BE BEAUTIFUL IN YOUR EYES!
Your battle scars are a sign of the gift that the Lord has given you when He gave you the ability and blessing to bear children!
Your battle scars are a sign of how intricately designed a woman's body is to be a shelter and safe haven for her children from the time of conception!
Your battle scars area sign of strength! You were created and designed to be strong.... with strength that you must only ask the Lord to reveal to you!
Your battle scars are beautiful sweet friend!
Wear them with pride! Take pride in the body you have, you are valuable, called into motherhood by God, a woman with a most high calling and ministry.
WEAR YOUR BATTLE SCARS GIRL! WEAR THEM WITH CONFIDENCE BECAUSE YOU ARE INFINITELY BEAUTIFUL IN THE SIGHT OF YOUR MAKER....
"Beauty is fleeting but a woman who fears the Lord will be praised" ( Pr.31:30 )
" Children are a heritage from the Lord " ( Ps. 127:3 )
